Manju Jois, the oldest son of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, is recognized world-wide as the foremost authority on Yoga. Manju began his yoga practice at age 7 with his father as his guru. He began teaching at the age of 15 and has taught continuously throughout the world for the last 45 years.
Manju’'s methods are consistent with the ancient practices, offering truly authentic guidance for all who wish to follow 's life-enriching path to Enlightenment.

Manju's teaching style is spiritual, intensive, inspiring and humorous. He is renowned for assisting students deeper into poses. He honors the ancient tradition and teaches his students with clarity and enthusiasm.

Manju will present the series and traditions in their purest form and will introduce and teach the powerful healing elements and techniques that make up the system. This promises to provide a rare and privileged opportunity to learn from an Indian master.

The five day teacher training intensive will include:

  • The traditional Yoga practice, the Primary Series of Yoga Chikista (Yoga Healing), followed by the Intermediate Series entitled Nadi Shodhana (Nerve Cleansing). Daily practice of the asana purifies the mind and body while also healing the nervous system.
  • Hands-on training provides students the opportunity to learn from Manju how to adjust in every posture from the Primary Series.
  • Manju, using original Sanskrit so that students will benefit from the traditional form, will teach the Nadi Shodhana Pranyama, traditional breathing exercises
  • Students will also practice Vedic peace chants. (Shanti Mantras)
  • Time will be given for question and answer sessions with Manju.

Each day will conclude with meditation practice.

Manju Jois' dedicated life long mission is to provide training for students and teachers in the ancient traditions of authentic Yoga. He is honored to offer guidance to all who wish to learn and benefit from Yoga’'s ancient and time-honored practices.
